Why am I locked out?
Access suspension is a billing state, not your account — a lapsed Owner Licence, a failed payment, an ended trial, or paused billing. You keep your role.
If you are seeing a screen telling you access is restricted, it is almost never about your account. It is the organisation's billing state.
The usual causes
- No active Owner Licence. This one gates the whole organisation. An active subscription is not enough on its own — the Owner Licence has to be there too.
- A failed payment. Usually an expired card.
- The trial ended and no plan was chosen.
- Billing is paused — see Pausing and resuming.
- The subscription lapsed or was cancelled.
Why you cannot see which one
If you are not the owner, the message is deliberately vague. Billing is the owner's business, and your organisation's payment status is not something we show to everyone who happens to be logged in.
The owner sees the exact reason on the Billing page.
If you are the owner
Open Billing and work down that list. Access returns as soon as the underlying state is fixed.
If you are not the owner
There is genuinely nothing to solve from your side — this is not a permissions puzzle. Tell your organisation owner.
You have not lost anything
Suspension is not removal. You are still in the organisation, you still have your role, and your history is untouched.
When the licence is restored your access comes back automatically. Nobody needs to re-invite you.
Complimentary organisations
Some organisations are set up with complimentary access and never pay or hit these gates at all. If that is you, this article will never apply.
If billing looks healthy and you are still out
That is a real problem rather than an expected state. Create a ticket and we will unblock you.
Still stuck? Open the support assistant in the bottom-right corner and we'll take it from there.
